  每回去四伯父在初英的農舍，老爹總會提起附近有條初英自行車道；我卻從沒去過。我的小折在裝上親子座椅後便無法摺疊，當然也就無法放進汽車行李箱，所以能騎的地點有限。但這一個週末，在閱讀了Erling Kagge的書後，決定挑戰從家裡騎去初英自行車道再騎回家。 I was reading Erling Kagge's book and some other biking / hiking books lately. So I decided to challenge the Chuying Bikeway during the weekend. Everytime when we visited or drove by uncle's farm land in Chuying, Dad would mention there's a beautiful bikeway here called Chuying Bikeway. Ever since I installed kids seat on my folding bike, it is not foldable anymore. So we can't stuck it in our car trunk and travel around. The biking range is kind of limited. 昨天傍晚下班後直接跳上單車，一樣跟兒子一起出外探險。騎去化仁海堤好幾次，但每次因為趕著要回家吃晚飯就草草折返。這次我們選擇抵達海堤後左轉北行，騎到北濱再繞市區回家。果然回到家已超過晚餐時間，但至少補足了這一段的自行車道路線。感到滿意。 Last evening after work, I jumped on my KHS and went out on an adventure with my son. We had visited Huaren Seawall several times, but every time we got to rush back home for dinner. This time we wanted to explore more and decided to turn left and go north after arriving the seawall. We rode to Beibin (North Shore) before going home. Sure enough, we did not make it before dinner, but at least we finally achieved riding this section of the bicycle route. That was great.  從家裡走德安一街或其他平行巷弄沒多久就能遇到七腳川溪，沿著溪往海的方向騎，沒多久就會到化仁海堤了。 It did not take long for us at all to visit the Seawall. From home we took De-an Street or other parallel alleys and soon we encountered Qijiaochuan Creek (Ji-an River).   兩潭自行車道，最北到七星潭，最南到鯉魚潭。我們常騎的是南濱， 北濱，花蓮港務局這些段。從家裡出發，來回約莫一小時。目前還沒騎過到七星潭， 值得找個週末挑戰一下。 至於到鯉魚潭的車道似乎是穿梭蜿蜒在local道路間， 所以還需要研究研宄。 這天趁著傍晚雨勢稍減的空檔，我和孩子就出門了。在便利店先買了輕便雨衣穿上。內心有種嚮往自由的激動。踏著我們的KHS T3 451，總算感受到一點真實。 The Two Lakes Bikeway, stretches 35km from Liyu Lake from the southernmost to Qixingtan the northernmost. We live in Hualien city, so often we just ride along Nanbin, Beibin, and somewhere near the Hualien Port building. It takes about an hour to go back and forth from home. We haven't ride directly to Qixingtan yet. It's definitely on our list. The route to Liyu Lake seems a bit complicated as the path winds between local roads. More research still needs to be done before we hit the road sometime. It had been raining for the whole week because of the approaching Typhoon.
